New markets include Phoenix, AZ and Los Angeles, CA

(6.10.2010) Aguatero Industries, a privately-held company specializing in bottled water production and water management operations, announced today plans to expand its operations to the American Southwest, including major cities such as Las Vegas, Nevada and Los Angeles, California.

“During this time of fiscal crisis, cities are turning to Aguatero Industries for proper sanitation and management of water resources at an affordable level,” said Aguatero Industries CEO Lucinda Rodriguez. “Aguatero Industries fits this need, especially in the tough climate of the American Southwest.”

Though Aguatero’s bottled water operations already exist in the southwest this operation expansion includes city water management, in which Aguatero Industries will take control of the water supply from major city governments.

“This arrangement seems to fit best for all parties involved. Providing water to millions of citizens has become very costly for the city of Los Angeles,” said Mario Long, director of the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power. “By outsourcing the water operations to Aguatero Industries, the city will be better able to focus on other aspects of government.”

“Aguatero Industries is dedicated to providing water which exceeds state and federal requirements at a low cost to all of its customers. We’re excited about this new opportunity and look forward to working with the local governments to transition into operating their waterworks. We truly are hydrating the world, one drop at a time,” said Lucinda Rodriguez.

Aguatero Industries will begin to operate in its new markets within the next two weeks. A transitional period will occur in which the government and Aguatero Industries work together before transitioning to Aguatero’s full ownership of the water systems.

Aguatero Industries owns and operates urban water systems worldwide and also specializes in bottling water beverages. It was founded in 1996 and is privately owned.
